Counselling gives you the opportunity to move towards a happier and more fulfilling life by exploring your problems whilst being listened to and supported. Counselling allows you to share your experiences and problems in complete confidence with a professional in a non-judgemental space. You are respected as an individual and you can talk freely, and feel valued, supported and back in control.
Counselling with me will guide you towards finding solutions to your problems as we work together in a compassionate, kind and supportive way. I help you to explore and understand your problems giving you tools to use in your everyday life to help better manage the struggles you face. Being listened to and supported without judgement by a professional counsellor brings the freedom and ability to be able to view things differently which in itself can bring huge changes to your life. I help you to use the courage and wisdom that you have within you, to unravel and make connections from past events to current behaviours and thinking. To have a clearer understanding of why things are the way they are and how they're not your fault, to gently build your confidence, re-balance your emotion system and make positive life changes so that you can re gain control and find happiness. I work wholeheartedly with compassion and kindness putting your well being at the very centre of our work together.
The different modalities that I am trained in and use in counselling include psychodynamic, CBT, Person-centered, Gestalt, positive psychology, solution-focused brief therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.
Where the sessions are conducted
The counselling sessions can be either face2face, online or walk and talk.

Face2face : my counselling rooms in Guildford or Ewhurst which are comfortable light and airy.

Online: I use a platform for online sessions which allows us to do live video counselling. This is very straight forward to use you simply click the link I send you and you’ll be sent to a secure and private virtual waiting room where I’ll meet you and start the session. There are many benefits with this therapy especially for those who may be anxious and the thought of sitting across from a strange person in a strange room can be too overwhelming. It allows you to be in the comfort of your own surroundings (office, home, outside, or anywhere that is private and comfortable for you). It cuts out travel costs and time.

Walk and talk: There are a number of huge benefits with walk and talk counselling, being outdoors in the open air is just one of them. Fresh air and moving releases endorphins which can regenerate thinking and new ideas. Many people feel more comfortable with being side by side rather than the more formal setting of sitting across from the counsellor and being outside in this way allows people to feel able to share and be open more easily. We walk together side by side slowly taking in the surroundings as we explore the problems you are struggling with.
Don't suffer in silence, talk to someone today....
Counselling sessions are:
- 50 minutes long
- Sessions can be either long or short term work and I am guided by the client as to when they feel they have reached their agreed goals. This will be assessed regularly throughout the work together.
